The counts of Fuentes built a sumptuous palace that had its own chapel and luxurious spaces with tapestries and carpets. It housed an important collection of paintings with family portraits and portraits of King Philip II. In the bedrooms of the counts and their children, the golden beds with blue damask and gold and silk cords, as well as crimson velvet with the count’s coat of arms, stood out. This trousseau was complemented with silver tableware and abundant jewelry. The horse-drawn family carriage was also present.

In the excavations were found Iberian pottery painted with geometric or vegetal motifs, the so-called «campaniense» of black varnish and common Roman pottery. The inhabitants of La Corona must have moved to the nearby place «Cabezo Villar», where remains of a wall of ashlars, ceramics of the same type, campaniense and Iberian, in addition to «sigillatas» that prove it was occupied in the Roman Imperial period.
Other pieces found in the excavations revealed aspects of the daily life of the ancient inhabitants of the Crown, from a set of astragalus or bone tablets to alabaster weights used as counterweights in the looms, abundant presence of jars used as oil or wine tanks and remains of amphorae that served as containers for the transport of liquids, flour or fruits.
